Licensing of Radioactive Material (32 Ill. Adm. Code 330.40)
This proposed amendment establishes conditions, criteria and procedures for water treatment residuals and sewage treatment sludges containing naturally occurring radium.

First Notice began on August 28, 2009. The amendment was published in Volume 33, Issue 35, page 12061 of the Illinois Register.

Licensing Requirements for Land Disposal of Radioactive Waste (Repealer) (32 Ill. Adm. Code 601)
Requirements for the Disposal of Low-Level Radioactive Waste Away from the Point of Generation (Repealer) (32 Ill. Adm. Code 606)

This proposed rule replaces the requirements previously found in 32 Ill. Adm. Code 601 and 606. This new Part establishes the requirements for siting, designing, licensing, constructing, operating and closing a low-level radioactive waste disposal facility in Illinois.

First Notice began October 9, 2009. The proposed rule and repealers are published in Volume 33, Issue 41, pages 13976, 14006, and 14039 in the Illinois Register.

A Public Hearing on the new rule and repealers will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Illinois Emergency Management Agency, 1035 Outer Park Drive, Springfield, Illinois.
